To fit: Simply clean the original bumper thoroughly using an alcohol wipe (or similar) and let it dry. Then peel off the green backing for the double-sided tape and fix the new cover directly over your existing bumper. We also advise you to drill a small hole in your bumper to feed the wires through for the rear light before fitting.
The 3 wires on the LED are
BLACK = GROUND
BLUE = RUNNING LIGHT (50% brightness)
RED = BRAKE LIGHT (100% brightness)
Simply connect the three wires from the LED to your original rear light: The blue wire on a PX Disc is your brake light, black is the running light - but check a wiring diagram for your model if you're unsure.
The light consumes very little power and is designed to run on 12v DC but may also work on a non-battery system (we've not had a chance to test one yet).
A standard PX Disc rear bumper can also be retrofitted to earlier PX/T5/T5 Classic and LML models to allow the fitment of our PX Bumper with light.
Our rear bumper can also be produced in white or silver on request and the plastic is suitable for spraying.
